YEREVAN, Oct. 27 (Xinhua) -- Armenia has lifted all restrictions on goods transit to Azerbaijan, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced Monday during a parliamentary discussion of the 2026 state budget draft.
According to the local media outlet Armenpress, Pashinyan said the move is a reciprocal step following Azerbaijan's recent decision to remove similar restrictions on Armenian cargoes.
He said a shipment of Kazakh wheat bound for Armenia will be delivered by rail through Azerbaijan and Georgia.
The prime minister also declared that Armenia is ready to facilitate road freight transit between Turkey and Azerbaijan through its territory.
On Tuesday, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev announced that Baku had lifted all restrictions on the transit of goods to Armenia. ■
